When you try to install pcTattletale you get the following screen:

 

How To Fix:

You need to turn off Microsoft Smart Screen.  Then you can go ahead and reinstall pcTattletale.  Here is how.

Open Windows Security.  You will find it down by your computer’s clock:

 

 

Find “Browser & App Control”:

 

Click the Off option under the Check apps and files category.

 

You need to provide administrator approval to proceed. Click Yes at the User Account Control window to continue.

Try Installing Again

Try to reinstall pcTattletale Again. See if the notification appears again.

If it reappears, change your SmartScreen filter back to Warn status. This to a large extent prevents you from viruses or malware.

 

Option 2: Enable Sideload apps

If you still get the Error you probably need to turn on Sideloading apps:

1) On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and I at the same time. Then click Update & security.

 

 

2) On the left side of the pane, click For developers. Then click Sideload apps on the right side.
