Daniel P. Cooper
Prosecutors filed charges this afternoon against a Lake Saint Louis man who is accused of sexual contact with two girls, ages 10 and 11.
Daniel Patrick Cooper, 44, of the 400 block of Oak Hill Drive, was charged with one count of forcible sodomy, two counts of statutory sodomy and two counts of child molestation.
Cooper had a prior conviction for aggravated criminal sexual abuse against a five-year-old girl in 2002 in Glen Carbon, Ill., according to the Missouri Sex Offender Registry.
Police said the sexual contact occurred Saturday, and one of the victims said Cooper held her down during sex acts while she told him several times to stop.
Cooper was being held in lieu of $50,000 cash-only bail. Our question is why isn’t it $500,000 in cash only bail?
