Watch Video and You’ll NEVER Text and Drive Again!
Welsh police commissioned a video it hopes will be help deter drivers from texting and driving.
The video, created by Peter Watkins-Hughes and starring young Welsh teenagers, graphically highlights the dangers and unfortunate consequences of using cell phones while driving.
Welsh police hope the short film will be shown in schools throughout the UK.
A recent survey of over 2,000 Facebook users found that 45 per cent of UK motorists admitted to texting whilst driving.
The Transport Research Laboratory, who carried out the survey, later conducted a study that revealed reaction times among drivers age 17-24 were around 35 per cent slower when writing a text message.
The research concluded that “when texting, a driver may present a greater accident risk than when at the legal limit for alcohol consumption or when under the influence of cannabis”.

The people that did this video are heros, your efforts will undoubtely save many, many lives. Yes, it is graphic, but so are the realities. I am an adult, don\’t text while driving, but do check to see if I have e-mail. Never again. This video cannot get enough play.
i am a youth worker who works with 11-25 year olds herd there was a mini film coming out showing the after effects of such an incident would be great for youth workers and schools alike to be able to show our young people the dangers of driving whilst texting
It is hard to find the right words.. As a Mother of two, and with one Grandchild about the age of the one in the video. As I sitting with tears streaming down my face! I pray that everyone who sees this video shares it with someone. If it keeps just one person from being distracted while driving. Look at the lives it can save!!
